Bright light in sky causes commotion
At 3:07 a.m. Tuesday, McPherson County Communicationsofficers received several reports from citizens and law enforcement officers
regarding a large blue light falling from the sky. Dispatchers spoke with
Saline and Reno County authorities and were advised that
they had also received reports of this phenomena.
The National Weather Service in Wichita, was
contacted and they advised they had received a report of this from Lincoln County.
The general consensus is that it was a meteorite, however there is no
determination as to where it made impact.
