Dryden, Ontario, Canada Meteor 3:36 am CST 9NOV2011
I was awake last night due to foot cramp and saw out my south facing window a very bright large fireball, bright yellow with an orange tail traveling from west to east. I don't know how long it took, but I had enough time to see it, get out of bed and stand by the window watching it until it was hidden by trees. It was low enough that it seemed to be eye level while I was looking out of our second story window. When it had disappeared I looked at our clock which said 3:36am, we are on Central standard time and live just south of Dryden, Ontario. This occurred Nov 9, 2011. -Nancy  Thank you Nancy!

Dryden, Ontario, Canada Fireball 03:34 am 9NOV2011
I live in Dryden, Ontario and was awake early the morning of Wednesday, November 9, 2011. At 3:34 a.m., I was looking out our living room window when a bright fireball crossed the sky. It was in the southern sky and was travelling from west to east and was rather low. The object was comparatively slow moving as I was able to get to a different window in a different room and catch it again before it disappeared behind a building down the street. The fireball was pale yellow in colour but the tail appeared to have a blue/green hue. As the fireball moved the tail broke up. It has to be one of the most amazing sights I’ve seen. – Jo-Anne  Thank you Jo-Anne!

Winnipeg, MB Canada Meteor  ~3:34-3:36 am central time 9NOV2011
Hi there, i'm hoping you can help me figure out what it was I saw in the sky the other night. I work night shift in winnipeg, MB and was travelling back to work from on wednesday morning at 3:30 am (Nov. 9/2011). I was going due east at approximately 3:34-3:36 am central time when I saw in the eastern sky moving in a northern direction a small white 'star-like' object that appeared to be getting bigger. It was travelling faster than a plane would in the sky and kept getting bigger as it moved from right to left. The object appeared to grow in size to that of a full moon, perhaps somewhat larger, and seemed to stay a perfect circle. After about 6 or 7 seconds, the object then changed color. First it seemed to start glowing yellow, then a bright, orangish, red. The last few seconds it was visible it got notibly faster and brighter and had suddenly had a very bright almost neon green tail to it. It drifted behind some houses and before my car got past the rooftops to keep looking it was gone. The whole even lasted about 8-12 seconds max. I went online to try and figure out what I saw and noticed these posts on your site. It appears I saw the same object as the people in Dryden, Ontario Meteor 9 NOV2011. David's post from winnipeg damn near exactly describes what I saw as well (and is the same time and location, Regent Avenue is 5 mins from where I was). Hopefully my account will help figure out what it was. -Jay K.
Thank you Jay!
